Is it free?
Yes, all of it. There's nothing to buy and nothing locked.
Do I need an account?
No. No sign-up, no email, no login. Open it and play.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. Puzzles are built on your own device rather than fetched, so a plane or an underground train is fine.
Does everyone get the same puzzle?
The daily challenge, yes: everybody gets the same board on the same day. That's the one worth comparing scores on.
Can I play more than one a day?
Yes. Once the daily is done there are more puzzles waiting, across a range of difficulty. You're not cut off until tomorrow.
What does the goal number mean?
It's the fewest moves the puzzle can be finished in. Matching it is the best score. Going over still counts as solved, it's just not the best you could have done.
Why won't it let me put this tile down?
A row has to be three or more numbers in a row all in one color, or three to four of the same number in different colors. Two tiles is never a row, a run can't skip a number, and a group can't repeat a color. The rules page has a picture of each.
Can I take tiles off the table?
Yes, and you'll often have to. Rows already on the table can be split, shortened or taken apart completely. Everything just has to be a proper row again by the time you finish.
I'm completely stuck. Is it definitely solvable?
Yes. Every puzzle can be finished, and every tile on your rack has a place. If nothing fits, some row on the table needs to change shape first.
Does restarting cost me anything?
The board and your move counter both go back to the start. Your restarts are counted, though, and they appear on the result you share. In the phone app, restarting part-way through a board plays an ad first.
Is there a hint?
In the phone app, yes. In the browser there's no hint button, so when you stall the thing to do is look for the tile that has nowhere to go: it's the one telling you which row has to change shape.
What happens to my streak?
Solve the daily challenge and it goes up. Nothing is timed, so there's no rush once you've opened it.
Is this the official Rummikub?
No. Rummidle is an independent solo puzzle that borrows the run-and-group idea. It isn't affiliated with Rummikub or its publisher.
